Shannon Sturges

Hello, I'm the Sturges in Speiser/Sturges. As the founder and owner of Speiser/Sturges Acting Studio, I've dedicated more than 15 years to coaching and developing actors, drawing on 25 years of experience as a professional working film and television actor.

Acting is part of my DNA. Growing up in a Hollywood family, my grandfather was the legendary filmmaker Preston Sturges, and both of my parents were working actors as well.

At eighteen, I met Aaron Speiser who became my teacher, mentor and eventually my partner in building Speiser/Sturges Acting Studio. Under his guidance I developed not only as an actor but also as a teacher. Over time, coaching became my passion and calling.

Today I work with actors at every stage of their careers, from complete beginners taking their first class, to established working professionals looking to deepen their craft. My approach combines practical industry experience with a commitment to truthful, emotional connected performances, strong technique, fearless creative choices and the confidence to take risks.

I believe that great acting isn’t about playing it safe or trying to get it right, It’s about being courageous, staying curios, doing the work, and discovering what makes you uniquely compelling. My goal is to create a an environment, whee actors feel supported enough to take risks, challenged enough to grow and prepared enough to pursue a professional career.

Through in-person acting classes in Los Angels, and online training, I am committed to helping actors develop the skills, instincts and individuality that make great performances possible.

Because ultimately, it’s about helping you to do what you came here to do.
